Freshness First Program Announced

New Freshness Program Initiated

Today, Sooner Foods in Sulphur was the first of our three stores to launch our new program called "Freshness First".  Over the next several days the program will also be launched at our Tishomingo and Davis stores.

Freshness First is a program designed to insure that shoppers will always have the freshest food items at their disposal.

Most food items come with a "sell by", "best if purchased by", or "use by" dates.  Of course we want our food items to have long shelf, cupboard, or storage life at the time you purchase said items.

This morning, operation manager Curt Tully called employees from every department to the center of our store.  A section of our store was designated and employees from our front end operation, meat market, grocery, bakery, produce, and frozen food departments went to work examining each and every food line checking for dates.

If close dated items were found they were removed from our displays and shelves and will be replaced with fresh product.

Our Freshness First program will be conducted twice weekly in all three of our stores and this will insure that we always have the freshest food items for shoppers to purchase.
