Focus On Nutritionn - The Grand Banana

If only one fruit could be recommended on a daily basis, it would have to be the admired banana.  The banana has been referred to as quite possibly the world's most perfect food and it very well could be.

Packed with potassium (about 400 mg per finger) and a good source of Vitamins B6 and C, reports show that eating bananas can lower the risk of heart disease.  Bananas are also a good source of dietary fiber, have no fat or cholesterol.

There are so many ways to enjoy bananas such as smoothies, banana pops, banana bread, pudding, with ice cream and a banana split, and then a favorite of kids the peanut butter chocolate and banana sandwich!

Of course most bananas are eaten by themselves, but they do go well with a bowl of cereal and can be cut up in a glass of milk.

Bananas are quite affordable so make them a part of your daily diet.
